The Gite Advert We offer you a large text area for you to be as descriptive as you like about your property. You should use as much of this space as possible – why? Because it will help your entry and our site in the search engine. It will also help your prospect make up their mind – so do not skimp here but space it out to make it easy to read. You have 1,000 characters for your main description. Images You should always, where possible, add images – a picture paints a thousand words and all that – it helps the visitor visualize their holiday so make sure the image is representative. Images sizes can be NO LARGER THAN 400 pixels in height and 400 pixels in width with a total file size of NO MORE THAN 50 KB. Image formats can be JPG; GIF and PNG the standard web formats. Searches In order for those who will do a search to find what they want you will have to use the SUBJECT field in the advert and ensure it contains the word that visitors will use to find you. For example the region; department; sleeps 10 with pool in village. – you get the point. You can always change it later on. Finally, we would ask for a reciprocal link (it is gently requested specifically for the FREE Gite advert package) and it would help us both in the search engines if everyone did it.
